Client Nav Bars

This powertool allows you to hide menu items from the Client Area or create custom menus.

Set Up

From the PowerTools dashboard click on the Set Default Group tile:

Ensure the Tool is switched on and click Save:

Affiliate Menu

If you have activated Affiliates in WHMCS, you can hide the menu for non-affiliate clients. The Affiliate screens are not de-activated, only the menu is hidden.

Hiding WHMCS Menus

Select the menu (either Primary or Secondary) and the name of the menu you would like to hide:

Once added, the list of hidden menu items are shown:

Here we have hidden Contact Us from the primary menu and the Email History menu from the logged in Account menu.

Adding Custom Menus

You can add custom menus including sub menus to your Client Area.

Select the menu (either Primary or Secondary) you would like to add to. Then fill in the following fields:

Nav Bar Name: a unique name for your menu.  Duplicates are not allowed
Nav Bar Label: The text you would like displayed on your menu item
URL: The link to open when your menu is selected (use # for no link)
Parent Menu Name: The name of the parent menu (leave empty for a top level menu)
Display Order: The order in which to display the menu
Icon: The fontawesome icon (can be left empty)

The following example creates a menu in the Primary Nav Bar with sub menu items:

It’s important that your Display Order is set correctly.  Ensure that child items have a higher display order than their parent.
